Paul Solomon
Social Worker and Researcher
I’m Paul Solomon, a social worker and researcher with a background in both Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work. My professional interests lie at the intersection of mental health, research, theatre arts, and technology.
I’m deeply passionate about using creative, community-rooted mediums to raise awareness. Over the years, I’ve written and directed theatre plays on issues like the Role of Caregivers in Schizophrenia, Violence Against Women, and Human Trafficking. As a trained Theatre of the Oppressed practitioner, I use interactive theatre to spark dialogue and drive social change.
Currently, I’m involved in the STOPS Project (School-based Intervention using Theatre of the Oppressed for Prevention of Suicide)—an initiative focused on providing mental health literacy and preventing suicidality among school-going adolescents. Within this, I’m part of a research study that explores how Theatre of the Oppressed can be used as a tool for suicide prevention and mental health promotion in schools.
Beyond my professional work, I’m into singing, guitar and music production. I enjoy experimenting with beats, visuals, and storytelling—mostly for creative satisfaction it brings
My goal is to keep blending theatre, research, and multimedia to create meaningful, youth-driven conversations around mental well-being.
