Kasthuri Priya Bharathidasan

Psychologist | Research assistant

Kasthuri Priya is a Psychologist currently working as Project Staff on the Juvenile Assessing Mental Health (JAMS) Project at the Schizophrenia Research Foundation (SCARF), where she focuses on assessments, research, and evidence-based interventions for vulnerable youth.
She holds a Master’s in Applied Psychology with specializing in child, counseling, and educational psychology. Along with certifications in special education, counseling, and motivational interviewing (NIMHANS). Kasthuri combines clinical expertise with a deep passion for supporting children and adolescents through compassionate, developmentally sensitive care.
Prior to SCARF, she worked as a school psychologist and special educator, helping children navigate behavioral and learning challenges in inclusive environments.
Her commitment lies in making mental health services more accessible, inclusive, and stigma-free—especially for underserved communities. She believes in creating spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.
Outside of work, Kasthuri finds joy in home cooking, trekking, and reading—activities that recharge her and enrich her empathy as a clinician.
