Aishvarya
Research Assistant
Hi, I’m Aishvarya, a psychologist by training and currently working as a Research Assistant in the Youth Mental Health Department at SCARF (I). With an MSc in Psychology (specializing in Counseling), I began my journey drawn by a deep curiosity about people and their stories. While I naturally connect with older adults, my interest in working with young minds grew through school and community interactions. I enjoy the time spent with children in the field, it feels less like work—it’s where I find joy and a sense of escape. And I view research as a powerful platform to apply and tailor my counseling knowledge to the contexts and challenges of the population I engage with—enabling meaningful change at the individual level.
When I’m not out there, you’ll likely catch me re-watching rom-coms (yes, on loop—no regrets), humming or dancing to music, staring at the waves and the moon or just playing with dogs on the streets or the park—That’s just me, at my happiest.
