Vijaya Raghavan

Consultant Psychiatrist and Assistant Director

Vijaya Raghavan is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Assistant Director (Research) at the Department of Youth Mental Health. He completed his residency in psychiatry, followed by postdoctoral fellowships in the US and UK. He has been awarded the Fogarty, Commonwealth, Nurturing Clinical Scientist, and HPSR fellowships. Alongside his clinical practice, he is engaged in research, training, and outreach activities. His research focuses on community-based and digital mental health innovations for young people. His professional interests spans public mental health, mental health systems and policy, and implementation science. He is committed to building evidence that informs policy and strengthens mental health systems for youth. Beyond his professional work, he is an avid reader who enjoys exploring a wide range of books and topics.
