Immanuel Darshan
Social Worker and a Research Assistant
Hey I’m Immanuel, a social worker and a research assistant in SCARF-(I), currently contributing to Project ISOBAR in the department of youth mental health. My journey into social work actually started with a background in journalism, which, interestingly enough, laid the groundwork for my communication and inquiry skills. I eventually found my passion in the medical field as a social worker, drawn to its impactful work. I’ve spent a few years gaining hands-on experience in case management and psychosocial rehabilitation within the clinical department of my organization. Now, my focus has shifted from clinical work to research, allowing me to gain more knowledge and experience in this field.
Outside of my professional life, music and travel are my ultimate therapies, providing a vital balance. I also love exploring new cuisines and am always keen to discuss interesting movies.
