Arpita Arun
Social worker & Research assistant
Social worker & Research assistant – Hi! My name is Arpita Arun and I work as a Research Assistant in the Department of Youth Mental Health at SCARF. I completed my masters in Social Work specialising in Mental Health and my master’s thesis was on ‘Academic Pressure and Mental Health among Adolescents’. I am most interested to continue working and researching in the field of adolescent mental health.
As a research assistant in the JAMS Project, I have gained a deeper understanding of how the social determinants have an impact on the mental health of children and how important it is to increase access to mental health services to everyone, across all socioeconomic levels.
As for my other interests, I enjoy listening to music, watching buddy cop series, reading fiction and spending time with four-legged cuties. My favourite pastime activity is hogging. If you see a curly haired girl clicking pictures of the sky and flowers and everything cute, come say hi.
You can reach out to me at arpitaarun@scarfindia.org and also find me on LinkedIn as Arpita Arun.
